| The Mattress Lab Process |
Our process focuses on three important sleep aspects:

Alignment: We begin by aligning the entire body, especially confirming that the spine is in a neutral position where it is relaxed and can allow natural recovery of the discs, ligaments and muscles during the night. We focus on this in combination with your preferred sleeping positions, side, stomach or back. Each sleeping position dictates a different mattress configuration for proper support. No one else in the industry can provide this level of "customization" to your body's needs!
|
| Balanced Weight Distribution: We establish a more uniform distribution of the body weight and reduction of high pressure areas. Typically shoulders, hips and knees suffer from high pressure concentration. This often results in a build-up of natural body toxins and decreased circulation, resulting in discomfort and reduced health of body tissues and joints in these areas. In some cases, pressure points can even result in circulatory problems. Along with these high pressure areas, there are often other body areas that have insufficient support, such as, the lower back. We use a sophisticated computerized pressure mapping system to identify these high pressure and low support areas. We adjust the mattress in each of these areas to achieve balanced weight and support for your sleep.
Body Heat and Humidity: Body heat and humidity are some of the biggest contributors to poor sleep and tossing & turning. Very simply, the softer the mattress, the more you sink into it, allowing more heat and humidity to concentrate around your body. There is a required balance between proper support, body temperature, and comfort. We are very aware of this and ask your temperature preferences when specifying the mattress construction. Additionally, we have several alternatives for the construction of the upper layer to make your mattress warmer or cooler, and even allow more air circulation for your skin to breathe. We know of no other mattress company with this capability. |

Full Sleep Analysis:
We do a full analysis of your sleep patterns and sleeping preferences prior to customizing and configuring your mattress. A full sleep analysis includes:
- Reviewing sleep patterns and preferred sleeping position(s).
- Recognizing aches and pains in neck, shoulders, hips, back, knees, legs, feet and ankles.
- Discussing other needs regarding problems of circulation, osteoporosis, arthritis, respiratory, night sweating, heart, allergies, acid reflux, snoring, and prior surgical conditions.
- Completion of a computerized pressure map of your actual sleep profile. This identifies the areas that are in need of additional support and the places that have high concentration of pressure that can reduce circulation and cause build up of discomfort.
- Measuring body weight, height and location of lumbar spine, shoulders and hips.
- Carefully analyzing your spine position, condition and sleeping posture.
